Our One Lounge concept lobby is a breakfasting, entertaining and bar area which reflects the trademarks of our brand with quality products and high service standards. Bartenders at Motel One assist with the delivery of excellent guest experience, by providing professional, friendly and helpful service at all times.
As a Bartender with Motel One, you will be primarily responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Warmly and professionally welcome all guests with a smile
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
• Preparation and serving of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in line with licensing/liquor regulations and Motel One standards
• General cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness and presentation of One Lounge, bar and kitchen area is to the required standard
• Stock control and upselling
• Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that both the GM and One Lounge Supervisor are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and, or, other departments
• Comply with hotel security & fire regulations and all health & safety regulations
• Willingness and flexibility to assist other departments within the hotel, as the needs of the business dictates. This is all done with the ultimate aim of providing the very best possible service to our guests
Your qualifications
Bartenders at Motel One are always working on behalf of our guests and working with other team members. At Motel One “We Focus on Personality” when recruiting new team members and to be successful in this role, you should have the following attitude, behaviours and skills:
• Minimum 6 months previous experience in a customer focused role
• Passionate and enthusiastic with a positive approach
• Strong communication skills and an excellent command of the English and Dutch language
• Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
• Well presented with a professional attitude
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Personal Licence Holder would be an advantage

By opening the Motel One Amsterdam we are setting a further milestone in our expansion. The new Motel One will be the first hotel in the Netherlands, with 320 rooms and a spacious One Lounge. Situated in the district „The Zuidas“ (eng. South Axis), Amsterdam’s new Finance Centre in the south of the city, the hotel is close to the most important law and consulting firms as well as to the conference and exhibition centre „RAI“.
Public transportation is located in front of the hotel and takes the hotel guests in 15 minutes to the historical centre of Amsterdam.
The opening is planned for summer 2015.
